Success For Indie Songwriters

A strategic tactic for musicians, bands, or artists to get their foot in the door of the music industry is by landing a deal for commercials or films. I read an article from BMI.com on how a band attracted more attention from a single advertised with a national commercial than the commercialized brand itself. It was a Garnier Fructis commercial, and the band's lyrics really stood out. This type of promotion yields immediate exposure to indie artists and increased downloads of their music from excited fans. There are industry professionals who are looking for songs from indie artists to partner with in projects, even though it may take more than one try to get the type of exposure desired. A successful business relationship with commercial and film producers increases the chance of being exposed in further projects. However, the music is getting out there, nationally, and the artists exposure has reached a new peak. Write from your heart and good luck!!

Music Industry Digital Trends

The entertainment industry is rapidly changing, so not only is the music industry going through evolution, but the entire world of art. Everything can be seen and heard through your mobile phone and computer. The world has gone digital and there isn't anything that can stop it. Artists can now record there own music, omitting the necessity of paying a studio fee, upload for download and sell their music on the internet without the cd manufacturing procedure, and promote the music career through recorded videos and of live performances, to stream on social media networks. Podcast stations welcome indie artists to submit their mp3s. Independent artists can now function as a record label, and that's power!
